When Russia invaded Ukraine, the lives of those we follow were turned upside down. Nothing could prepare them for the escapes we see them make or the new worlds they must adapt to.
The film has been scored by one of Ukraine’s leading musicians, Evgeny Khmara. Just after Christmas, Evgeny invited a complete orchestra, as well as an adult and a childrens’ choir to come together to record his original music score. Each member of the choir and orchestra was a volunteer. The melody is a recurring theme throughout the film and the lyrics can be heard over the closing credits.
