Six members of the Deaf community tell us how the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown affected their lives. Their stories bring us back to March 2020 when the nation dramatically entered a lockdown in which prime minister Boris Johnson urged everyone to “stay at home”.

While we were all in it together, our contributors’ accounts show how people’s experiences of Covid-19 and the lockdown vary widely. We hear how they faced their fears and anxieties and, ultimately, found ways to overcome them.
