A documentary for LumoTV, Sky, Channel 4 and Together TV
Available on LumoTV from 14th November!
100 Years of Deaflympics looks back at some of the incredible sporting achievements of Great Britain’s deaf athletes, alongside meeting some of the medal-hopefuls who will be competing at the Summer Deaflympics 2025 in Tokyo.
The archive timeline highlights a spectacular tally of gold medals for Great Britain and represents a wide range of successful men and women who have excelled in both individual and team sports.
We meet three athletes who have been selected to represent Great Britain for the team going to Tokyo in November: young swimmer Charlotte Gower who will be competing in a multitude of events in the pool along with team-mate Henry Hughes who competed when he was only 13 in the Summer Deaflympics in Turkey 2017. Joining them in Tokyo is Oliver Pritchard, a successful triathlete who is looking forward to making his debut as a cyclist in Tokyo.
